Megan Knowlton Balne Honored for Her Commitment to the HR Community

On Wednesday, April 29, 2026, Partner Megan Knowlton Balne was recognized as a finalist for Strategic Ally of the Year by the Delaware Valley HR Person of the Year Awards Committee.

The Delaware Valley HR Person of the Year Awards were established in 2001 to celebrate professionals who make a meaningful impact within the HR community across our region. The awards are a joint effort among several local Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) chapters and HR organizations throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.

Megan serves as Chair of the Legal Legislative Committee for the HR Association of Southern New Jersey and was nominated by a fellow SHRM member who recognized her dedication to supporting HR professionals and businesses alike. The Strategic Ally of the Year award honors trusted advisors who help organizations navigate challenges, achieve strategic goals, and build stronger workplaces.

As Chair of HLS’s Employment Law Group, Megan works closely with businesses of all sizes to provide practical guidance on employment law compliance and workplace strategy. We are thrilled to see her commitment to clients and the HR community recognized in this way.
