A Commitment to Integrity & Service

At Hyland Levin Shapiro, community involvement has always been a central part of who we are — not because it’s expected, but because it matters. We live here, raise our families here, and stand behind the people and organizations working every day to strengthen this region.

We invest in causes that reflect the needs and values of our community. Our attorneys and staff support organizations that provide food and housing security, expand access to health care and education, protect the environment, and promote cultural life in South Jersey and the Philadelphia area. Whether we’re advising a nonprofit, serving on a board, or helping launch a local initiative, we’re proud to contribute time, insight, and heart to the places we call home.

Our firm works closely with Volunteer UP through advisory board roles, board membership, hands-on pro bono work, and ongoing sponsorship. We are deeply committed to helping the clinic reach more economically disadvantaged South Jersey residents who need and deserve legal representation.

Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey

Our attorneys serve as active board members of the Jewish Federation of SNJ. We’re honored to support programs that provide humanitarian aid, social services, and community engagement.

“Individually, and as a firm, we value the importance of giving back and the importance of being a good corporate citizen — being part of the solutions and not the problem.”

— Mark Shapiro

We proudly support the Human Resource Association of Southern New Jersey through leadership and ongoing collaboration. Our attorneys regularly participate in the organization’s Legal and Legislative Committee. Members of the firm’s Employment Practice Group provide monthly updates on developments and trends in employment law, helping human resources professionals stay informed on evolving legal and legislative issues.

Bridge Academy and Community Center

Our attorneys contribute leadership and strategic guidance through board service with the Bridge Academy and Community Center. Through this involvement, we support the organization’s mission to equip youth and families with the tools for academic achievement, life skills, creative expression, spiritual growth, and leadership in a safe and supportive environment.

We see this work as A PRIVILEGE, NOT A PLATFORM

Each of us finds our own way to give back, with the support of the firm behind us. Our involvement in the community is not about recognition. It’s about responsibility. We are grateful to support these organizations that work tirelessly for our community.
