Hyland Levin Shapiro has been named to the 2026 New Jersey Legal Awards shortlist for Real Estate Firm of the Year.
The recognition reflects the strength of the firm’s commercial real estate practice and its work on sophisticated transactions for investors, developers, and property owners. Led by partners Mark Shapiro and Lauren Beetle, the transactional team combines extensive real estate experience with a practical, collaborative approach focused on helping clients efficiently close transactions.
Among the practice’s recent accomplishments is its continued representation of a private real estate fund that surpassed $1 billion in capital commitments with the successful closing of its sixth fund. HLS has advised the client on real estate transactions since its first fund, supporting acquisitions, financings and dispositions throughout its growth. The firm also has an active land use and permitting practice focusing on South Jersey. The group is frequently called on for complex, high-stakes projects that demand careful navigation of legal, technical, and regulatory challenges.
“We are honored to be included among the finalists for this award,” said Mark Shapiro. “This recognition reflects the trust our clients place in us and the dedication of our entire real estate team. We are grateful for the opportunity to support our clients as they pursue increasingly complex and significant projects.”
The New Jersey Legal Awards recognize attorneys and law firms whose work has made an impact on New Jersey’s legal community. The 2026 awards ceremony will take place on October 29 at The Palace at Somerset Park.
