Peter J. Sarubbi, an associate with the firm, focuses his practice on commercial litigation.
Pete is a graduate of Rutgers Law School (2018) where he served as a Staff Editor for the Rutgers Journal of Law & Public Policy. During his time in law school, Pete completed judicial internships with the Honorable Robert B. Kugler of the United States District Court as well as with the Honorable Justice Lee A. Solomon of the Supreme Court of New Jersey. This balance of experience at the federal trial and state Supreme Court levels has afforded Pete a unique understanding of what it takes to achieve the best chance of success at trial with an eye towards strategically building the strongest record and framing issues in anticipation of appeal.
Pete earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Delaware (2015) where he was actively involved in the University’s Mock Trial program and participated in national competitions.
Prior to joining Hyland Levin Shapiro, Pete was an associate at a large South Jersey law firm where he gained valuable in-court experience early on in his professional career.
Pete is a proud, lifelong South Jersey resident with deep ties to the community. Outside of his practice, Pete is a supporter of non-profit services and recently served as a “Big Brother” mentor in the Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence Region.
