Mary Alice Rogers is a senior paralegal with Hyland Levin Shapiro LLP and is a member of the firm’s Business, Real Estate and Succession Planning, Trusts & Estates Practice Groups. Mary Alice works on matters involving corporate transactions, franchise, transactional real estate and finance, tax appeals, business planning and estate and trust administration.
Prior to joining Hyland Levin in 2009, Mary Alice was a paralegal for a large law firm in Philadelphia and a Senior Customer Specialist/Team Leader for a leading registered agent service firm.
Mary Alice has extensive experience in the preparation and filing of formation, qualification, amendment, dissolution, withdrawal, merger, post-merger, domestication, conversion and assumed/fictitious name documents for various entity types. She handles the ordering of various corporate documents from governmental agencies and has experience with the authentication and legalization of documents for use in other countries. She is involved in the drafting of board and shareholder resolutions, minutes and other corporate governance documents. Mary Alice also handles the preparation and filing of state annual reports and the maintenance of minute and stock books for a number of the firm’s corporate clients. She also has significant experience in the preparation and filing of UCCs and obtaining UCC and other types of lien searches.
In the area of franchise law, Mary Alice assists with the preparation of annual Franchise Disclosure Documents and coordinating with state franchise regulatory authorities regarding registrations, renewals, pre and post-effective amendments and exemptions.
Mary Alice also works in the area of estate and trust administration including probate; the collection, liquidation and transfer of probate and non-probate assets, and the preparation of federal and state estate and inheritance tax returns.
Mary Alice was born in Bronxville, New York and grew up in Freehold, New Jersey. She currently lives in Voorhees, New Jersey with her husband, Brian. Outside of work, she enjoys bicycling, cooking, gardening, museums and trips to the Caribbean Islands.
