Our real estate investor clients had a busy year, buying, financing and selling properties in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, New York, South Carolina and Florida. Our real estate transactional team led by Mark Shapiro, includes Lauren Beetle, Stacy Asbell, Julie Murphy and Will Hanna. Together, we assisted our clients in over 40 transactions involving multi-family, retail, office, warehouse and commercial properties.
We are pleased to announce that Julie M. Murphy has been named a partner in the firm. Julie concentrates her practice in business reorganization, loan restructuring, loan documentation and real estate law. In addition to practicing law, Julie is also active in our community as she serves as a Board Member for the Consumer Bankruptcy Assistance Project, as well as on the Board of the Philharmonic of Southern New Jersey. She has also volunteered as a child advocate attorney for the Support Center for Child Advocates, and has advocated on behalf of clients with the Department of Human Services, and various mental health and academic providers.

Hyland Levin Partners, William F. Hyland, Jr. and Richard M. Hluchan attended the recent grand opening/dedication of the new Bancroft School Campus in Mt. Laurel. Bill and Rich were instrumental in obtaining the land use approvals for this project, as well as in obtaining some critical sewer permits on an expedited basis. Megan concentrates her practice in the areas of commercial litigation, zoning and land use, and real estate development and finance. Megan is a graduate of Rutgers University School of Law. In addition to her legal career, Megan has a passion for the arts and regularly participates as an actor, director and stage manager in different productions throughout South Jersey. We are pleased to welcome our newest partner, Daniella Gordon, to our firm. Daniella concentrates her practice in construction litigation, white-collar crime and major criminal defense, appellate matters, and civil rights. She represents owners, developers, sureties and all tiers of contractors in construction disputes, including construction defect claims, damages for delay, differing site conditions, professional negligence, bid protests and injunctions. Daniella also advises and defends businesses and individuals in a range of government investigations, including false claims in public contracting, health care fraud, bank fraud, public corruption and money laundering. She serves on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and is Co-Chair of the Construction Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association. She is also Chair of the Legal Redress and Criminal Justice Committees of the Southern Burlington County branch of the NAACP.
